Father and daughter – Raul and Marie Vaigla have been making music together since 2013, when they participated in the Eesti Laul competition. They have performed at festivals such as Jazzkaar, the Stockholm Jazz Festival, Sõru Jazz, and Juu Jääb. Marie has also contributed to Raul’s solo albums “Heights” (2015), “A Better Place” (2019), and “Killud” (2022). Their concert repertoire includes original compositions, songs by Ultima Thule, as well as music from their shared favorites, such as Joni Mitchell and Led Zeppelin. Together, Raul and Marie create a fusion of bass and vocals, exploring and creating different tonal colors and textures on their instruments.

Raul Vaigla is a beloved bassist and composer, best known as a member of Estonia’s legendary rock band Ultima Thule. However, his career as a solo artist is also highly regarded—his discography includes four solo albums, and he has contributed to countless recordings and projects in the Estonian music scene.

Marie Vaigla is a singer and musician who has been actively performing since 2012. She is known as the lead singer and songwriter of the band Frankie Animal and frequently collaborates with her father Raul and brother Robert. Marie graduated from the Georg Ots Music School with a focus on pop and jazz vocals and later studied electroacoustic composition at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.
